Leadership Opportunities

At Westminster Catawba Christian School, students have a variety of opportunities to develop leadership skills throughout high school. Our desire is that students will participate in leadership opportunities and bring their skills back to WCCS as they lead their peers through middle and high school. We offer the following leadership opportunities through an application and nomination process each year:

College/University Leadership Opportunities

Middle and high school students have opportunities to explore their leadership skills through a variety of summer collegiate programs. Information is always sent though E-News, so be on the lookout through the school year!

Palmetto Boys State and Palmetto Girls State

The Palmetto Boys and Girls State programs seek to develop students into young leaders who are interested in local and state governments.  Each year, WCCS nominates juniors who demonstrate academic success, leadership among peers, ability to work with others, and an interest in government.  Through a series of essays and interviews, one young man and woman are chosen to represent WCCS at the Boys and Girls State conferences.  These conferences are typically held the summer before the senior year.
