Dear WCCS Families,
With over 27 years in education, I have seen first-hand the profound impact that a leader can have, and I am humbled by the privilege of leading our WCCS High School. I’d love to share a brief look into the vision we pursue here at the Upper School on a daily basis.
First and foremost, WCCS is dedicated to honoring God in all we do and raising up students to bless and influence the world as followers of Jesus Christ. We operate our school and our classrooms within the context of a Christian worldview. We hire faculty and staff fully aligned to Jesus in faith, values, and practice – able to model this to our students.
As students transition into High School and prepare for college they will encounter complex cultural issues, social media influences, and competing claims about truth. They must learn to think critically and discern wisely. Our faculty integrate biblical truth throughout the curriculum, encouraging students to evaluate information carefully, analyze sources responsibly, and engage thoughtfully with using a biblical lens. Cultivating intellectual curiosity and spiritual maturity, students are equipped to navigate an increasingly complex world with confidence, integrity, and a firm foundation in God’s truth.
Working together, the Upper School Principals plan special events that unite our Middle and High School students, building community and creating core memories that will last a lifetime. Our prayer is that our students will participate and positively add to the life of our school alongside a highly relational faculty who will nurture, mentor, and know each student.
We believe all students are created in the image of God which greatly impacts the way we view students. Acknowledging that mistakes will be made along the way, we seek students and families willing to partner with the school and lean into opportunities for academic, social, and spiritual growth.
First and foremost, WCCS is dedicated to honoring God in all we do and raising up students to bless and influence the world as followers of Jesus Christ.
The High School experience seeks to provide an engaging learning environment grounded in biblical truth. We recognize that each student is uniquely created by God and intentionally teach a variety of learning styles. Our college preparatory courses challenge students to think critically, engage deeply with content, and apply their learning thoughtfully. For highly motivated students, Advanced Placement (AP) and Dual Enrollment (DE) courses offer college-level rigor and opportunities for academic advancement, with expanded offerings added each year.
Beyond the core curriculum, our 8-period schedule allows students to explore two electives annually, encouraging them to develop their God-given talents and interests. Class trips, service projects, and community experiences further integrate faith, learning, and personal growth. In addition, our college counseling department partners with students individually as they seek God’s direction for life after high school.
I am grateful to serve alongside the exceptional faculty and staff at WCCS. My background in Marine Corps, public and private education, middle and high school leadership, AP instruction, and special education has provided a wide range of experiences that continue to shape my commitment to excellence in Christian education.
Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions, concerns, or ideas you would like to share.
Partnering with You,
Joe Zambrano
