Technical Theatre covers backstage fundamentals such as theatre terminology, stage rigging, properties, sound, scenic construction, lighting, costume organization, Stage makeup, and design to prepare students to participate on technical crews for WCCS’s theatrical productions and other theaters. Students will participate in some aspect of the Spring Musical, which will require extracurricular hours outside the school day.
WCCS is pleased to offer Guitar classes to our Middle School students. As one of their election options, students can chose to learn many of the different styles, skills and techniques required to become a successful guitarist. Areas of concentration include: correct posture, note reading, aural skills, flat-picking, singing songs, rhythmic patterns, chord study, finger-picking styles, musical forms, improvisation and performing experiences. This class meets the middle school fine art requirement.
This innovative class transforms students into a cohesive drum line. This class allows students to bring their enthusiasm for music and creativity to life in a way that benefits the WCCS community; students will be able to perform at sporting events, chapels, and more.
