Important Back-to-School Dates

  • August 12th & 13th – Early Childhood Family MeetingsEach Early Childhood (Infant - K5) student/family will be invited by their classroom teacher to set up a 30-minute meeting. Teachers will be reaching out to families in early August to set these up with you.
  • August 12th & 13th – Elementary Math Camp and SAGES Gifted Screening (For NEW Students)NEW to WCCS 2nd - 5th Graders are encouraged to attend Summer Math Camp and our SAGES Gifted Screening to determine eligibility for our Gifted Program.  More details will be forthcoming. These events will take place between 8 AM – 11 AM both days.
  • August 13th – Elementary (1st – 5th) New Family Orientation This event will take place at the Lower School Campus from 11 AM until 12 noon.
  • August 16th: Upper School Orientations and Elementary Drop-In9:00 – 10:15 AM: Orientation for all new and returning 6th grade students.
    10:30 – 11:45 AM: Orientation for all 7th and 8th grade students
    10:30 AM:  Orientation for new 9th – 12th grade students (new students only).
    4:00 - 6:00 PM: Elementary (1st - 5th) drop-in to meet your teacher and drop off school supplies
  • August 17th: First Half Day for All Students
  • August 26th: Kindergarten – 5th Grade Back to School NightThis event starts at 6 PM at the Lower School Campus.
  • September 2nd – Middle & High School Back to School NightThis event starts at 6:30 PM at the Upper School Campus.

Lunch Information

Lunches are available to order for 3K-12th grade students at WCCS through the FACTS Family Portal. Stay tuned, lunch ordering information will go out in early August.

Reading & Work Expectations

  • 2021-2022 Rising First Grade Expectations
  • Rising 2nd-5th Grade Summer ExpectationsThis year, rising 2nd – 5th grade students will be given a Summer Review packet before we dismiss for summer break. If for any reason your child misplaces their packet over the summer, additional packets will be available in the school office. All 2021-2022 new families will be emailed a copy of summer work or provided upon acceptance. Please email (ascott@wccs.org) for assistance.
  • Middle School Summer Reading
  • High School Summer Work ExpectationsSupplemental math work will be assigned through Kahn Academy, a free online portal. Each course will have specific materials to be completed and this communication will be sent directly from the assigned teacher.
