The Blasingame family moved to our area from Texas a year and a half ago, looking to keep their boys, Owen and Marcus, in a private, Christian school. We are so thrilled they chose WCCS! Read on to find out why they love WCCS and chose our school for the education of their boys.

Why did you choose WCCS for your child?

Our company relocated us to the Carolinas. Our children had been in private Christian school in Texas. We wanted to keep them in private Christian school. We feel that a Christian based education is important. In addition, we wanted a school with smaller class sizes. We looked at several schools in the area and were very impressed with WCCS.

What do you love most about WCCS?

The smaller class sizes. The teachers value the students for who they are and the abilities that God has gifted them.

What is one word that describes our school? Tell us why you chose that word.

Relationships. It is very important for children to have good relationships with their teachers and administrators as they grow through their school and WCCS foster’s those relationships.

Describe one of your favorite teachers and the impact that this person has had in your student’s life – or perhaps a specific example of a way this teacher has cared for your student in a special way.

Mrs Gregory. Her class is very exciting. She goes out of her way to engage the students and make learning fun. My son always comments on how he enjoys her class and loves going. She understands that students need to be kids and have time to play as well as learn and study. There is balance to life and she does well at teaching the students about this balance.

How is WCCS preparing your child for God’s call on their lives, including hopes, plans, and dreams for college, career, and/or community?

WCCS is preparing my child by showing them that it is ok to be who God has made them. They encourage the kids to accept each other for who they are and understand that everybody is unique. Each person has unique gifts and talents and they by using those gifts and talents we are truly serving God the way he wants us to.

What would you tell another parent to encourage them to consider enrolling their child at WCCS?

No place is perfect, but WCCS truly cares for the kids and parents. They strive to prepare our children to live to serve through the abilities they have been blessed with.
