The Cruz Family

“We have never experienced another school that wants to partner with you more. WCCS wants to ensure your children not only receive a valuable education, but also show them how to have a Christ-Centered life.”

The Cruz family joined WCCS 5 years ago. Read on to find out more of their story, and why they love being a part of our school – we certainly love them!

Why did you choose WCCS for your child?

Both children were experiencing overcrowding and lack of attention at their schools at the time.

What do you love most about WCCS?

We love how much the teachers and staff pour into our family. We have had a rough couple of years dealing with a life threatening medical condition. The school was right there to help both of our children understand that it was all part of God’s plan. They stood with us while we dealt with all that came at us and partnered with us. WCCS has shown our children how to lean on God for peace and understanding.

What is one word that describes our school? Tell us why you chose that word.

Partner – We have never experienced another school that wants to partner with you more. WCCS wants to ensure your children not only receive a valuable education, but also show them how to have a Christ-centered life.

Describe one of your favorite teachers and the impact that this person has had in your student’s life – or perhaps a specific example of a way this teacher has cared for your student in a special way.

While we have loved every teacher we have had the pleasure of working with, there is one teacher that stands out. It is rare to have a child come home and rave about a teacher. This teacher has given up lunches to assist our child in a tutoring session when they were struggling with Math. She cares about the whole child and it shows in everything she does. We are so grateful for Ms Watts.

How is WCCS preparing your child for God’s call on their lives, including hopes, plans, and dreams for college, career, and/or community?

The school has a designated counselor that works with each family to help us learn from our children what interests them, and helps us develop these gifts so that when the time comes, we are able to understand what God’s plan is for our children. This could mean college or trade school, etc.

What would you tell another parent to encourage them to consider enrolling their child at WCCS?

This was the best decision we have ever made, and you will not be disappointed!
