“Most schools only think about preparing students two of these things – college and career. WCCS thinks about preparing students for every area of life. By giving students a true, biblical worldview, our children are prepared to encounter the world with eyes wide open.”
The Dixon’s have been with the WCCS family for 6 years! They have four children at our school Spencer, Grace, Annie, & Grant (5th, 3rd, 1st, and 4K). We asked them to share why they chose WCCS for their family. Read on to find out more!
Christian education – hands down! We wanted our children to be taught at school the same things that they are learning at home.
The teachers and administration. I can’t say enough good things about them! Their heart for our children echoes my own. They are not only teachers, but mentors. They disciple our children on a daily basis. They sow seed after seed into their little hearts, day after day. They are faithful followers of Jesus who desire to see our children grow up into young men and women who love and serve our mighty God! They KNOW my children, encourage them, share truth with them, care for them. I am so grateful that they are another voice in my child’s life speaking truth to them. It’s so nice to have someone other than mom, dad, and your pastor speaking truth into their lives! I am so grateful for these amazing teachers!
Heart. WCCS teachers put their heart into their role with these children, and WCCS aims to teach and care for our children’s hearts.
Oh wow! How do I choose? We have had such amazing teachers year after year and have been blessed by each one of them! From the joy and delight of a preschool teacher as her children arrived each morning sipping coffee out of her “no bad days” cup who said to me “because how could you have a bad day when you work with these amazing two year olds?” and she really means it! To the patience and gentleness of the Kindergarten teachers… To the 1st grade teacher teaching the children that they are image bearers of Christ and what that really means… To the love and generosity of the 2nd grade teachers… To the teacher in 3rd grade who brought her entire family to not one but two of my son’s sporting events to cheer him on and show her love… To the 4th grade teachers who so intentionally and faithfully discipled our children day after day, who made Bible not a subject but as the thread that wove every subject together and made them complete… To the 5th grade teacher’s laughter and jokes mixed with solid biblical truth and desire to give my son a solid foundation on which to stand as he enters middle school. And more!
The children are taught who they are as image bearers of Christ, their role, and purpose in this life. This equips them to make wise, thoughtful, purposeful decisions as they are launched into college and beyond.
