The Grosschmidt FamilyWCCS Familly

We are so excited to welcome the Grosschmidt family to our school! Mom, Anna Grosschmidt, attended WCCS in elementary and middle school, and now they have two children attending WCCS at the lower school. Learn more about this amazing family in the story below!

Tell us about your family! What kinds of activities or hobbies do you enjoy together?

The Grosschmidts are an “on-the-go” family of 4. Zak and Anna just celebrated their ninth wedding anniversary in June. Zak works as a field operations manager for an interior construction company in Charlotte, and Anna is also a manager of sorts-as a stay at home mom. Andrew is 5 and will begin Kindergarten at WCCS this fall. He loves reading, building anything, and riding his bike. Davis is 2 and loves all things sports. Anytime you see him, he is playing baseball, talking about basketball, or asking you to run out for a football pass. Our family enjoys playing outside, vacationing at our favorite place, Fripp Island, family walks, and movie nights. We are very excited to be adding a new, furry family member in the beginning of August-a double-doodle puppy. I’m sure she will make many appearances in the carpool line!

How did you hear about our school?

Anna attended WCCS in elementary and middle school and made many fond memories and forever friends. She is excited that Andrew will be able to experience the amazing sense of community at WCCS that she experienced at a young age.

Was there anything in particular that influenced your decision to become a part of the WCCS family?

The sense of community and genuine LOVE that we felt when visiting WCCS made our decision an easy one. All we want for our children is for them to be loved and to learn to be loving and kind individuals in return. It is so important to our family that Andrew goes to a school that promotes the morals and values that we teach at home. Above all, we also want him to know God and know that his relationship with the Lord is being strengthened through all facets of his life, including his school.

What are you most excited about in beginning the school year as a part of the WCCS family?

We are so excited to get to know new families and friends. We hope that each member of our family creates relationships and friendships that will last for years to come.
