The Heckaman Family

“Lucas knows that God is not finished with him yet! He has guidance and now feels that college aspirations can happen.”

The HeckamansWCCS Family

The Heckaman’s are one of our newest families at WCCS. Lucas is currently a junior and involved in a variety of activities at WCCS, including basketball. We asked them to share a little about what their experience has been like as a new family this year. Check out their story below!

Why did you choose WCCS for your child?

Lucas was not happy at his current school and was in search for something different. God led us to WCCS. We chose WCCS because everyone believed in Lucas at WCCS and knew he could achieve great things.

What do you love most about WCCS?

Lucas has more friends at WCCS, and the teachers care!

What is one word that describes our school? Tell us why you chose that word.

Inspiring…..It is the word that describes the students, teachers, and coaches!

Describe one of your favorite teachers and the impact that this person has had in your student’s life – or perhaps a specific example of a way this teacher has cared for your student in a special way.

Mr.Krueger… He interacts the most with kids in his class, teaches my son about God, and he is funny!

How is WCCS preparing your child for God’s call on their lives, including hopes, plans, and dreams for college, career, and/or community?

Lucas knows that God is not finished with him yet! He has guidance and now feels that college aspirations can happen. He has given back to the community with his other classmates in volunteer work. As parents, we know that he will find a career that he has a true passion for and will succeed.

What would you tell another parent to encourage them to consider enrolling their child at WCCS?

A smaller environment with faculty that cares makes all the difference. God is center of every day at WCCS…wish I had placed him in a Christian school years ago. We are truly blessed. Thank you…WCCS!
