“Our kids spend more hours at school than they do at home most days. WCCS feels like “home” in every aspect. WCCS not only teaches and cares for our kids, but they prepare them for the future, and dealing with the world – while keeping Christ at the center.”

David & Kristin Pflughoeft WCCS Parents

The Pflughoeft family joined the WCCS family 13 years ago when their son Logan entered kindergarten. Logan is currently finishing up his senior year, and their daughter, Eden is now in kindergarten! David and Kristin recently shared with us what has kept their family at WCCS for all these years and what they love most about the school Check it out below!

Why did you choose WCCS for your child?

We wanted a place that integrated educating the spirit, mind, and body while pointing out children to Jesus.

What do you love most about WCCS?

We are blown away by the teachers we have encountered through the years. They treat your children as their own and have been Godly examples to each of them. You can tell they not only love their jobs but show their love for Christ through the daily interactions with our kids.

What is one word that describes our school? Tell us why you chose that word.

Home. Our kids spend more hours at school than they do at home most days. WCCS feels like “home” in every aspect. WCCS not only teaches and cares for our kids, but they prepare them for the future and dealing with the world – while keeping Christ at the center. This is our goal at home as parents, and it’s reassuring to know when they walk into the doors at school, the same principles are being not only taught but lived out before our kids each day.

Describe one of your favorite teachers and the impact that this person has had in your student’s life – or perhaps a specific example of a way this teacher has cared for your student in a special way.

Deanne Regier. When our family was going through some times of difficult loss, she not only reached out personally but continued to go the extra mile to make sure our son didn’t fall behind.

How is WCCS preparing your child for God’s call on their lives, including hopes, plans, and dreams for college, career, and/or community?

WCCS and the staff not only help identify individual gifts and talents of our students but daily offer opportunities for our kids to grow in those areas. They go the extra mile through encouragement in areas that may need growth in order to make our kids dreams a reality.

What would you tell another parent to encourage them to consider enrolling their child at WCCS?

I would encourage them to schedule a visit and ask any questions they might have. Pray about the decision. We wouldn’t have made any other choice!
