The Sigmon Family

“We are thrilled to become a member and part of the WCCS community…As parents, we are looking forward to each child’s spiritual growth over the year, as well as social, emotional, and academic.”

The SigmonsWCCS Familly

We are so happy to have the Sigmon’s as part of the WCCS family this year! They have three children at the lower school – Liam and Colin in the 5th grade, and McKinley in the 3rd grade. Read on to find out more about what brought them to our school!

Tell us about your family! What kinds of activities or hobbies do you enjoy together?

As a family, we enjoy playing games (card/board), swimming, hiking, going to the beach and mountains, eating dinner together, movie nights, art and science projects, and spending time with grandparents and extended family,

How did you hear about our school?

We learned about WCCS by researching private schools for special needs children in York County, discussions on the phone with administration, and a visit to school.

Was there anything in particular that influenced your decision to become a part of the WCCS family?

Yes; the ability to accommodate three children all on the spectrum as well as the incorporation of a Christian curriculum/schooling environment influenced our decision. We also value smaller class sizes, private school vs. public, individual and small group pull-outs, and the “community support” of the school.

What are you most excited about in beginning the school year as a part of the WCCS family?

We are thrilled to become a member and part of the WCCS community. Our family is coming from an extremely close-knit school where we were highly involved and supportive as well as supported. Our last school truly welcomed us and became family. We are excited to continue that relationship, as well as begin and build a new relationship with WCCS. As parents, we are looking forward to each child’s spiritual growth over the year, as well as social, emotional, and academic. Our children are looking forward to the social aspect of school, getting to make new friends and play with peers, lunch, recess. They are also interested in learning new things, curriculum, material.
