WCCS is pleased to host Camp RISE (formerly known as ROAR summer camp) for rising 1st – 8th graders! With a wide variety of options, parents can register their child into a weekly session focused on a particular sport like soccer, basketball, or flag football. We also have many other great sessions such STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, & Math), Drama, Art, and even Ninja Warrior!
We take our responsibility seriously (but with crazy fun!). Our desire is to see each camper develop their skills as athletes, artists, and scientists. More importantly, we hope to help them love and follow Jesus more deeply. So, we brought top-notched specialty coaches to train and inspire your kids to strive for the best they can be and to honor God while doing it. Every one of our counselors has a deep commitment to God and a passion to help kids find and follow Christ.
Families are welcome to choose any (or all) sessions during the summer.
Sports and Ninja Camps: Led by seasoned coaches and counselors, campers will learn the basic skills of their chosen sports in a fun, group format. Through fun drills and small games campers will be challenged and encouraged to step out, try new things, fail a little and hopefully grow a lot. As their skills progress the week culminates with Friday Fun Competition.
STEM Camp: Your child will dive into the mind-stretching, creative world of STEM. The campers get many hands-on opportunities that will challenge their mind and skills.
Dance Camp: The focus here is fun dance movements that your child will love. The kids will learn worship movements to praise songs and silly fun dances, too. All in an appropriate fashion that pleases God.
Art Camp: Being creative is a skill needed in virtually every career or life work. Art is one of those ways to learn creativity and self- expression. More than simply arts and crafts – your child will practice skills to help them develop creativity, confidence and hopefully awaken the artist within.
D4C (Disciples for Christ) Program: D4C stands for Disciples 4 Christ. The is a discipleship, crazy fun, leadership development program. Under the experienced leadership of Caleb & Carol Menges, D4Cs will have a special time of discipleship and discussion on things that deeply effect the lives of middle schoolers and will help them live a more Christlike life. They will also have opportunities to help serve and lead campers within speciality activities.
Middle School Sports Clinics: Students in rising 6th-12th grade have the opportunity to participate in sport specific camps and clinics. The Athletic Department will communicate on our website any sports specific camps as they are available.
Each session of Camp RISE runs Monday through Friday. Morning drop-off is between 7:30 – 8:00 AM. Dismissal each day occurs at 12:55 PM.
All activities take place at the Upper Campus of Westminster Catawba Christian School, located at 2650 India Hook Road in Rock Hill. Parents are asked to follow the directional signs at the Upper Campus for drop-off and pick-up. Lunch is offered for an additional $35/week.
Camp RISE sessions run weekly, Monday – Friday, between June 6th and July 29th. (Note: there are no sessions the week of the July 4th holiday.) STEM sessions cost $165 per week. All other sessions are $150 per week.

Are you a rising 9th & 10th grader and love working with kids? Do you love telling kids about God and what He has done for them? Then you are the kind of person we’re looking for in a volunteer CIT (Counselor-in-Training)! CITs serve alongside our trained counselors (rising 11th grade and above) as their apprentices. CITs will have opportunities to lead Bible Huddle Time and prayer time. They work with the campers during Specialty Time. CITs fully participate in Counselor Games and help Alpha vs. Omega Games.
