Join us for an amazing summer filled with fun, exploration, creativity… and learning how we can shine like the SON by the way we live and play!
Camp SONShine is for children 1 through 5 years old (rising Kindergarten).
Within each registration grouping, campers will be broken up into smaller age-appropriate class groups (that may include a two-year age span). Classroom assignments are made on a weekly basis and subject to change for consecutive weeks.
Camp SONShine will be held Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 1:45pm. Cost is $225/week. All activities take place at the Lower School Campus of Westminster Catawba Christian School, located at 2240 Rosewood Drive in Rock Hill.
Week 1 – Out of This World (June 8 – 12)
Bible Story: Creation: Day 4
Bible verse: “God created the sun, moon, and stars” Genesis 1:14-19
5,4,3,2,1…Blast off into an AMAZING week at camp learning about the stars and beyond! God’s love is “out of this world” for us and we are excited to spend the week soaring through the sky!
Week 2 – Under the Sea (June 15 – 19)
Bible Story: Jonah & The Big Fish
Bible verse: “Then Jonah prayed to the Lord his God from the fish’s belly and He answered” Jonah 2:1
Calling all ocean, beach, and water lovers to come spend the week diving into God’s love for us! We will spend a week under the sea learning about sea creatures, ocean life, and fun things to do at the beach!
Week 3 – Safari (June 22 – 26)
Bible Story: Daniel & The Lion’s Den
Bible verse: “God kept Daniel safe” Daniel 6:16
Time to pull out the safari gear and animal prints for a super “zootastic” week! From creatures big and small, we will be able to explore them all. Afterall, God has a purpose for each special animal he created.
Week 4 – Once Upon a Faith Adventure (July 6 – 10)
Bible Story: The Armor of God
Bible verse: “Be strong in the Lord” Ephesians 6:10-18
We can’t wait to meet the campers who are ready to use their knightly bravery and their princess courage to help their friends, dream up wonderful stories, and let their God-given sparkle shine bright!
Week 5 – Loose Parts and Legos (July 13 – 17)
Bible Story: The Parable of The Two Builders (stable foundations)
Bible verse: “Build your house on the rock” Matthew 7:24
Builders, builders, builders, if you love to build, this camp is for you. It will be a fun, challenging, and insanely creative week as teachers add loose parts and legos to the centers for your child’s creative skills to shine!
Weekly Rate: $225
All students must register in advance to attend. Registration opens mid-January. Space is limited and registration will operate on a waitlist once sessions fill. WCCS also reserves the right to cancel a scheduled week of camp if the number of registrations do not meet the minimum camper requirement. The following forms are required for non WCCS students and must be submitted prior to camp: DSS Form 2900, SC Immunization Form, and Birth Certificate.
