This summer, in addition to the RISE Summer Camps, the Athletic Department at Westminster Catawba Christian School is excited to offer sports skill development camps. Dave McDaniel is beginning his first year as the Head Boys Basketball Coach at Westminster Catawba Christian School. Coach McDaniel has coached a number of years at the high school level, as well as with the Nike-sponsored, EYBL (a program that trains some of the top players in the country). He’s a terrific teacher and trainer of the game, and kids from elementary through high school love training with him. He will be assisted by Sean Barnette, Assistant Boys Basketball Coach at WCCS. Coach Barnette played high school ball at Northwestern HS (Rock Hill), went on to star at Wingate University and then play professionally in the NBA Development League and Europe for 13 seasons. Much of American Youth Basketball has turned into one-on-one play and weekend tournaments. Coach McDaniel and Coach Barnette are skilled in teaching young players how to read defenses, create advantages, make quick decisions, and learn to stay a step ahead.
Most important, both Coach McDaniel and Coach Barnette use the opportunity that Basketball provides them to the kids who train under them lessons in character and faith as well as basketball.
This is a full-day camp that will provide lunch.

Since taking over the WCCS Varsity Volleyball program, the Lady Indians have qualified for 4 straight NCISAA 2A Play-off appearances — advancing to the Elite 8 in 3 straight years, 1 Final Four and 1 State Final appearance. She is also a very well-respected coach at the Club volleyball level as well.
Coach Collins was drawn to her faith in high school and is grateful for the platform that volleyball gives her to share her faith with school-age athletes today. AMC Volleyball Camp will focus on teaching young players the fundamentals of passing, setting, hitting, and footwork.
