Summer Assignments

Staying engaged academically is important, even in the summer. We have developed learning expectations that keep our students connected to books and learning while leaving plenty of time for other pursuits.

Expectations involve a blend of required and optional reading choices and other assignments, depending on grade level and class registration. Once you’ve taken time to view your grade level expectations and find you still have questions feel free to reach out to RaChell Crowe on the lower school campus, or Katie Tassy at the upper school campus. Thank you for making learning a part of your summer experience!

Lower School Summer Reading/Expectations

This year, rising 1st – 5th grade students will be given a Summer Review packet before we dismiss for summer break.  Rising 6th graders will also have a summer math packet to complete. New students will receive their summer work packet upon acceptance during the family interview. If for any reason your child misplaces their packet over the summer, additional packets will be available in the school office.  Please email RaChell Crowe (rcrowe@wccs.org) for assistance.

Middle School Summer Work

This summer, all WCCS middle school students will have both Math and ELA required work. Please click on the link below for information and instructions regarding these projects.

High School Summer Required Work

If your high school student is taking an Honors, Dual Enrollment, or Advanced Placement course, there will be summer work and he or she will be receiving an email regarding summer work packets at the beginning of June. New students will receive their summer work packet upon acceptance during the family interview. If your student has questions, or is unable to access the work, please contact Katie Tassy at ktassy@wccs.org
